Peakball, a fusion sport combining elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, is hailed as "the fastest-growing ball sport of the 21st century." Born in Seattle, USA in 1965 by three fathers as a way to spend family time, it has now become a globally popular fitness activity.

A peakball court measures 6.1 meters by 13.4 meters, similar in size to a badminton doubles court. The shuttlecock is a polymer ball with round holes, weighing approximately 25 grams. Its unique aerodynamic design provides moderate speed and stable trajectory. The racket is made of lightweight composite materials, smaller than a tennis racket but larger than a table tennis racket, combining flexibility and control. The rules are unique: it uses a volleyball-like "every point counts" system, requiring an underhand serve that lands in the opponent's diagonal area. A "non-volley zone" (kitchen area) restricts net volleys. These rules lower the barrier to entry while ensuring tactical versatility.

The greatest appeal of this sport lies in its inclusivity: it requires little space, has low equipment costs, and its rules are simple and easy to learn, making it suitable for people of all ages from 6 to 60. In professional competitions, players showcase their competitive prowess through precise baseline rallies, tricky drop shots, and powerful smashes; while in recreational settings, it allows people of varying skill levels to enjoy playing against each other. Data from the United States Pickleball Association shows that in 2022, the number of participants in the US exceeded 4.8 million, with the annual growth rate consistently maintaining double digits. It has been included as a demonstration sport in the 2024 Paris Olympics, and this sport, which combines fun and competition, is writing a new chapter in sporting history.
